Redefining Data Governance with DataGovOps

with Laura Madsen & Chris Bergh

Thursday, July 16th

1 pm ET / 10 am PT

Every organization that uses data knows that they need a data governance program.  But why are they so ineffective?  The truth is that data governance programs aren’t designed for the tsunami of data flowing into organizations today, nor for the way that data teams work.

Laura Madsen, the author of Disrupting Data Governance, joins Chris Bergh, CEO of DataKitchen, for a short presentation and lively discussion on how DataGovOps can be used to create a data governance program for the modern organization that supports, rather than stifles, the usage of data.

They’ll discuss:

  • Why the command and control approach of data governance today is so ineffective.
  • How to take a people and process-driven approach to governance.
  • How to address the struggle between centralization and freedom.
  • Where DataGovOps fits in among all the other -Ops disciplines proliferating today.

As an added bonus....we will be giving away a copy of Disrupting Data Governance to 10 lucky webinar attendees, so be sure not to miss it.  Anyone who registers and attends will be entered into the random giveaway.
